Impact ransomware attack on VoIP?

Last week a global cyber attack infected computers in over 100 countries. In the UK a substantial number of NHS institutes became a victim of this attack, but also well-known companies like international shipper FedEx. And although the attack was halted since a ‘kill switch’ was found in the code and activated, security experts warn that the further proliferation may soon continue. Are such ransomware attacks also a risk for VoIP and Unified Communications systems? A good question which we elaborate on in a new blog post.
